Mommy loco!

So, I was cleaning the bathroom (which took me 2 hours, yes 2 hours!) and I had asked Adam to get me a couple more rags. He was standing there in the middle of the hall, I think we were both confused about something he had asked me or I had asked him.....don't remember.....anyway, I so lovingly asked him to 'move!' Which he did. I went back to my cleaning and Adam went back into the kitchen where Renee was eating lunch. She sweetly turned to him and said 'Mommy loco Daddy?'. Yes honey, Mommy IS loco!

ps. it took me 2 hours because I really scrubbed the tiles in the shower, I mean like every line and every single tile. I'm exhausted!

Plea-TH!

I can't believe it! A video actually loaded! I tried all day yesterday to upload a video (of her riding her motah-cycle). This one only took about 20 minutes, awesome.

So, we've been working on saying 's' and she has the cutest little lisp, I love it! Sorry Juli, I think it's cuter than Natti's.

I love my motorcycle!

She's calling it her 'Motah-Cycle'. She was actually able to go a little bit, what a big girl. Adam's afraid she won't be able to use it (so he wants her to ride it inside.....I don't think so), but as long as it's not raining and we put warm clothes on she can ride it outside! Plus, I figure by next summer she'll be able to cruise around on it really well. Oh, and notice the cute headband? I got it at the dollar section at Target, along with a matching bracelet (for Tierra and Natalie too).

Finally! Daddy put it all together.

See what a big girl I am? Yeah, this was just before she toppled over, now we know not to stand up (until we're a little older). She was fine, didn't cry or anything. ;-)

Push, push! She actually did get going for a little bit.

Another way to ride....but only when mommy or daddy says!

Thanks Gramma Donna!

Have a Wonderful Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
Our sweet Squirrel.

Have a Happy New Year too!

I think it's snowing right now.

This is from yesterday afternoon.
We saw this silly car yesterday.
The front porch (today).
Another one of the porch. We're not using the front door, we're going through the garage, but that's pretty bad too!
Saturday morning.
Saturday evening.
Sunday evening.

The garage entrance Saturday evening.

Garage entrance Sunday evening. Those snow drifts are probably about 2 to 3 feet deep. Gotta' love those east winds!

I hope everyone is ok! We've been offering trips to the store to our neighbors. They can't even get out of their driveways! Adam says it makes him want to drive around and see if anyone needs help. So, if any of you need anything let us know! I really hope the winds are done, maybe I can take Squirrely out to play tomorrow! ;-)

Renee's first day.

Adam made this while we were in the hospital. My how she's grown!

Just want to give you a disclaimer: there are C-Section pics in the video, if you're queasy you might want to close your eyes for the first few pics. ;-)

Happy Birthday sweet Squirrely

Two years ago today our little Squirrely was born. We didn't exactly plan on getting pregnant, but we were very happy when we found out. I had a wonderful pregnancy, and really enjoyed it.

October 2006, this is probably my favorite 'pregnancy pic'.
Our sweet girl. I thought I wanted a boy, but I was thrilled to find out we were having a girl! I wouldn't want it any other way! You are the sweetest thing God has blessed us with!
My due date was December 9th, but when we went past that date we decided to induce on the 21st. We did a non-stress test to make sure you were doing ok in there. We got to see you on an ultrasound on Monday the 18th, and everything was ok, EXCEPT that you were breach! We had the option of trying to turn you around, but decided to go with a C-Section instead. The doctor told me it would be pretty stressful (and a little painful) on you (and me) if we were to try to turn you...... and we might end up having a C-Section anyway. It was funny though, I had always joked that if I was a big Hollywood star I'd opt for a C-Section (I was terrified of giving birth), so when I was actually granted that 'wish' I was pretty scared. We scheduled the C-Section for Wednesday the 20th. I was doing great until the anesthesiologist came in and told me how everything would go. I got pretty scared, but it was very comforting having daddy by my side and knowing that our whole family was in the waiting room praying for us.

Everything went great! It was an incredible experience. You were born at 1:01pm, weighing in at 8lbs 4oz, and you were 19inches long. You looked so much like your daddy. Our world began that moment.

You were an awesome baby. You were always so calm and quiet, you really only got fussy if you were hungry, tired, or needed a diaper change. We were absolutely blessed with a sweet little angel. You've always amazed us with how smart you are, and how quickly you've developed. You picked up sign language so well, you were rolling, crawling, and walking so early.

6 months

At 1 year old you were such a sweet little thing. You walked, you were really trying to talk with us, and you were so happy all the time. You've just been an absolute joy in our lives!

You have developed so much over the last 2 years. This summer (at one and a half) you were putting 2 or 3 words together, and you were trying to keep up with your older cousins. We spent a lot of time in our backyard playing on the swing set that daddy made for you, and playing in the kiddie pool all day!

You are an amazing little girl Renee. You're starting to hold complete conversations with us, using whole sentences, showing so much emotion and expression in everything you do. You're really pretty awesome.

Your favorite things are your family, including all your cousins, you really love your animals, and you just adore 'baby Meadow' (the sweet baby I watch 3 days a week). You just love Dora the Explorer and Diego, you also like to watch Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny, Max and Ruby, Strawberry Shortcake, and Little Einsteins. You're a very happy little girl and we just love being with you.

So happy birthday my sweet baby girl! We love you so very much and cherish more you everyday!

Good? Bad?

*This* could be a good thing, or a bad thing..... I'll be curious to see who they choose to direct New Moon.

Twilight...on ice!

Check *this* out.....the newest post about Twilight on 'Go Fug Yourself'.

These people crack me up! I added the link to their page on my 'Other blogs I read' list. I know, they're kinda' mean, but pretty funny too. ;-)

How can you NOT?

Love The Office? It's my favorite show. I love it. It cracks me up....alot. ;-)

'How is it possible that, in 5 years, I've had 2 engagement rings and only 1 chair?'

'I have my copies, I have my original, so suck it!'

'Never buy a fur coat with a credit card, until you absolutely have the money to pay for it.'

Sager, I know what you can do for me for Christmas. Do you know? ;-)

Lefse Day!

We had 'Lefse day' on Saturday. For those of you who don't know Lefse (pronounced Lef-Sah) is basically a sweet tortilla made of potatoes, some butter, and a little sugar. I think it's a mid-west thing. Adam's family introduced me to it and we've always had it with butter and cinnamon and sugar. My neighbors are also from the mid-west, but they've always enjoyed Lefse with jam, or they might make a sand which out of it. I guess you could do whatever you wanted! We get together at Luann's the weekend after Thanksgiving (every year) and we women-folk make the Lefse while the men-folk put Christmas lights up on the houses. It's really a great system we have, the guys all get help getting the lights up and we all get to enjoy Lefse for weeks! Luann said she made a quintuple batch this year. Holy cow! But really, that's how much we need! We split it up evenly between our families (though Luann keeps a little extra because we eat it at her house), and give some away, and freeze some, and just enjoy! It makes quite a mess, as you can see in the pics, but it's always fun. It's our way of welcoming Christmas. Luann plays Christmas music, and sometimes we get into flour fights (we didn't this year though). It's a fun tradition that we all enjoy!
Luann - The Roller

Kylie - The Napper

Amy - The Cooker, 'Where's the Lefse? Those pans are hot!'

Bringing the Lefse to the pans.....carefully, carefully.

Me - The Other Cooker. No oil, just throw it on the pan and brown.

The mess....and Amy showing us how Hayden fell asleep in his chair hugging something (a car maybe?). Hee hee.

Lunchtime! We got done in record time this year! It usually takes us all afternoon, but for some reason this year we were done in about 2 1/2 hours. It's probably because the munchkins were outside with the guys, and there were no flour fights to occupy us. ;-) I love this pic. Notice the two huge piles of Lefse on the table, napping Kylie, and Squirrel and Bug watching the (bushy) Squirrels run around in the trees.

Please, someone take my cat!

Before Adam shoots her, or throws her outside. I know, it's disgusting, believe me, I live with it!
This is what I woke up to at 6am!! Well, I actually woke up to the sounds of Kimber puking, then I found this awful pile of puke (the bottom of the pic), plus another pile in the War Room. Oh, and notice the lovely pile of poo (at the top of the pic). And just to the left there, where the cats are standing are the 2 litter boxes! Argh! Recon is our morbidly obese gray boy, and Kimber (the striped one at the bottom of the pic) is the pain in my neck!

I know, I know, I'm not very good at selling it. But I'll give you a litter box, and I'll buy you food to get started with! I just don't want to sugar coat it, I'll tell you what you're getting. I really think she needs to be an indoor/outdoor, or just outdoor cat. I just can't do it. She really is a very lovey kitty, and she's fun to play with too.

Thanksgiving

Adam went off for his annual morning shoot. I used to be included, what's up with that? I guess that's when we were only dating and it was still exciting to be together allItalic the time. Now that we're married the novelty has worn off. ;-) Anyway, I got Renee ready, made the pumpkin torte, took a bunch of tests, and got started on the sweet potatoes. I found a recipe for Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes. Yummy! I put Renee down for a (very early) nap, but she only agreed if I put her Nemo sheets on her bed. Silly girl. By the time Adam got home, the torte was done, I needed a shower, and the potatoes needed to go in the oven. We had dinner at Adam's parents' house, then headed off to my parents' house for dessert..... and the chaos that is my family. We missed you Rice's and Joey and Genevieve. We played with the Wii, I kinda' pulled a muscle in my shoulder from bowling. But hey, it wasn't as bad as Adam's aunt (in Minnesota) who blew a disc in her back and had to have surgery.....playing baseball on the Wii! Holy cow, huh? We had lots of yummy pumpkin torte, pumpkin pie, cherry pie, apple pie, and coffee. After most everyone had left, Juli and I were playing around trying to take 'Myspace' pics. It was pretty hilarious. We're just too old to try that silly teenager face. You know, the big eyes, and puckered lips, or off to the side lips. We had a really good laugh. Mommy even tried it, but she deleted all the pics off my camera....dork. So, enjoy the pics!
Silly girl.

Myspace pics. Or at least trying.

I'm just too old! I look ridiculous!

Juli's attempt.

Funny, huh?

Comparing eye color. Neat huh?

I've always thought Neeka has the most gorgeous electric blue eyes!
Diane's eyes are almost gray. Beautiful!

My pretty mommy.

Where did I get the green? Can you tell she's my mom?

My mom's beautiful blue eye.
Happy Thanksgiving!

So about the tests. I took a pregnancy test that morning, which showed up positive, then I started my period. Then I took a few more over the next few days and they've all said negative. So, I'm just assuming I'm not, though I'm sure I'll take another test in a week or so. I've heard you can have a false negative (result in a test), and a false period, but false positives are very uncommon. So, we'll see! I don't mind sharing this with you. I'll keep you updated. ;-)
