We're camping this weekend and Adam and I are making a dinner. We've done the steak and potato with onion foil wrap, we've done chicken on the barbie, we've done spaghetti, we've done chicken fettuccine, we've done tacos.....I need some new ideas. I really wanted to make Megan's 'Chicken Fingers', but I need an oven for that (unless someone can think of a good outdoor way to cook them).
So, does anyone have any ideas? We're cooking for 6 adults and 2 kids, we have the Coleman cook stoves, Hibachi's, and the fire pit. Any ideas would be great!
Thanks

Thinking, thinking....
I don't know if my mom and sister-in-law read the blog much.....they never comment....but if they do, they'll get a surprise here. They seem to be the most interested in this subject with me! ;-D
So, I have it all planned out....I'll get pregnant next fall, and have a summer of 2010 baby. So, my question is....what do you think? Should I wait that long? Renee will be about 3 1/2 at that point. What do those of you who have children that far apart think? What about those of you that have them closer together? I CANNOT wait to be pregnant again....big shock, I know....but I don't know if I'm ready for a newborn. Here's what goes through my head.....
~Should I get pregnant this fall? Renee would be 2 1/2. If I do I better decide real quick!
~We're supposed to take a big trip to Hawaii (my 1st time) with Adam's family, so I'd have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 3 month old.....I guess we could always go later
~I am adamant about nursing....do I want to be tied down (I know it's a horrible way of saying it) for another year and a half? (I nursed Renee for a year, and pumped from when she was about 3 months to 17 months...that's over a year of 30 minutes twice a day stuck to the breast pump!!) Nursing was one of the best experiences I've ever had....but it was SO much work....but SO worth it!
~I really enjoy the freedom of having an independent little toddler, being able to run to the store with only 1 child, going to my mom's, going anywhere!
~A second child could POSSIBLY be our last, but it's TOTALLY not a final decision (sorry Adam)
~I've decided to NOT find out the sex of the next one....how fun will that be?? Adam actually wanted to do this with Renee, but I just couldn't.
~It's going to be expensive having another baby, will we be able to afford it? Will I be able to continue to be a stay-at-home-mom?
~What kind of delivery will I have? I had to have a C-Section with Squirrely because she was breech....so would I have a VBAC (which is risky), or have another C-Section and take the time to heal up from it. I'm sooooo on the fence about this!!
~Amy (sis-in-law), Juli (sis), and Debbie (sis) are all pregnant right now....it would be fun to be pregnant with them!
Oh what to do, what to do......
Please weigh in on this one! Even if you're a friend of a friend of a friend, I need some advice here! Tell your friends and have them stop by and leave me a comment. Megan, I'd really like your sister's input with this. I don't know, she just seems so mature and wise when it comes to kids.....I read her blog and I LOVE it! Though, she always talks about you as if she looks up to you.....so sweet!
Anyway.....comment, email, call me, tell me what you all think!
I had my bestest friend Chelsea's baby, Nico (he's 2 months) on Saturday. I watched him from about 4:30pm to 11:00pm, and that was by myself....Adam was at a bachelor party. He was AWESOME! He's just like Renee was she was a baby, he only got fussy when he was tired. It was SO easy! I think that's why I'm thinking about this so much right now. Renee was SO cute and sweet with him, it was fun.
Loving on Nico.
She even woke up asking for him. She dreamt about him!
ps. this is a leap for me. i really don't like talking about this with people, i get really annoyed, so i'm really stretching myself here.

Decorating 101
The fireplace is right in the middle of the living room when you walk in. The two pictures are 8x10's, so the kinda' gives you an idea of how big the little cubby holes are....they're also about 2 inches deep. I had wedding stuff in them at one time, candles, now it's the photos. I just don't know how to use the space. Also, the fireplace screen (behind the big nice one) with the candles on it is one that Adam made when he was in Sheet Metal school. It's totally NOT functional, but I just cannot part with it...but I don't know what to do with it! The big nice one is the one that we actually use when we have fires. There's also the frame of Renee sitting on the fireplace, how's that look?

Is this weather amazing or what?
I LOVE hearing the rain outside the window. It's so refreshing. I don't have to spend an hour watering the grass and plants tomorrow, yay!! It's also nice to not have to use our industrial (or at least it feels that way) fan in the doorway to try to cool the house down. It's nice to just open the window and let the cool breeze pass on through the house. And it's nice to put Renee down without running the air in her room all night.
We have these 'heat pump/cooling unit' thingys, it's way bigger than a window air conditioner, but it still really only works for one room with the door closed. We have one in the living room, and had one in our room.....but we moved that into Squirrely's room last week. So, while she slept in the nice cool air, Adam and I are sweating like pigs until 6am when it finally cools off to 69 degrees! At least that's what it was like late last week. We actually used blankets last night!
Anyway, Fall has always been my favorite season! I love the crisp sunny weather.....not so much the rain though. Now that we have a child rain just sucks. I never really looked forward to summer, though now that Squirrel is older and able to actually play outside and have fun, I do like summer a little more now. Plus, I have a great neighbor, that I hardly know, that let's us use her pool whenever we want! Score! ;-)

I will go private.....
So, I tried something the other day (thanks Angie!) to monitor who's visiting my blog, how they got to my blog, where they are, and lots of other details. I noticed someone from Memphis Tennessee visited my blog today.....hmmm? The thingy gives me all sorts of information, so I looked it up. ;-) Hee hee
So, if you click *here*, you can see the house of the person who I don't know that visited my blog. Now, I know most of the people that view my blog, I know there's friends of friends that view my blog, but I do NOT know ANYone in Tennessee.
I WILL be going private (Adam is getting annoyed with me that I haven't yet), but I need to do the post letting everyone know that I'll be going private, send me your email so I can invite you, etc., etc. I just need to find the time to figure out HOW to do all that. Any tips Faith, or Alison?

What do you think?
Should I go private? I just got 2 comments from completely random people (men I might add) on the last post. What the heck? Why do random people feel the need to look at and comment on a blog when they don't even know the person?? I mean, sure, I've looked at blogs of friends of friends, but I don't comment......if I did, I'd let them know who I was and how I came across their blog. Do you think it's just spam, or weirdos? So, what do you think family and friends.....should I go private?? I like keeping my blog open for public view for people to connect with me (as in people I know, or knew in highschool), plus some people don't know how, or just don't want to 'sign in'......but I don't know...... What do you think??
Just figured out how to delete the comments.....so I did......but still, what do you think.
