We'll have to wait for the BIRTHday post. My pictures aren't available....lost? :-(
My external hard drive isn't working. Adam is going to take it to Eastwind (the computer place his work uses) to see if they can physically open it and retrieve my pics.
If that doesn't work, I'll try the Computer Forensics guy with the county (where I used to work). If he can't do it....I'm screwed.

Due Date
For those of you not on facebook, or who don't get phone calls/texts from me..... Yes, I'm still pregnant!
I had my C-Section scheduled for Wednesday the 30th (2 days ago), but around 4pm on Tuesday I called and canceled. I just really do not want to recover from the surgery. There is still a chance I could end up having a C-Section, but I really want to try for a VBAC first. So, I had an appointment on Wednesday, my doctor was very supportive and encouraging that I will deliver this baby via VBAC. She said I am about 80% effaced and a good 2cm dilated....which you can walk around dilated for weeks before anything 'real' happens. Anyway, Wednesday was her last day before her vacation, but the good news is she's back sooner than I thought! She'll be back on the 12th.
I have an appointment on Wednesday the 7th which will just be a regular OB check......listen to the heart beat, check my vitals, etc. Then I'll have an OB check plus a NST (non-stress test) on Friday the 9th. The non-stress test will monitor the baby's heart beat for about 30 (or more) minutes. It'll also monitor contractions, check all my vitals, and we'll have an ultrasound to check the fluids surrounding the baby. As long as everything looks good (and if I've made it that far) we'll wait until Monday the 12th (when my doctor is back) and do an iduction. Now, they say 'induction', but it's really not a typical induction. Like I've said before, they can break my water, or give me a 'light' pitocin drip....if my body responds that's awesome.....otherwise I'll probably end up with a C-Secion anyway. My doctor said they would just start with breaking my water. So, keep praying that it all happens 'naturally'!
I really don't mind being pregnant for so long, it's just this nerve pain that I could do without. It's very uncomfortable to sleep, and it's awful to take a shower in the morning. Throughout the rest of the day I can get around for the most part, but I do need to sit with my legs up quite a bit. It's a constant dull pain, with the sharp shooting pain down my leg every once in a while. The whole back of my left leg still feels dead/asleep. It's weird and annoying as heck! I've been living with it for 2 weeks now, I'm sure I can handle another week. I don't mind another doctor delivering the baby next week, but IF I end up with C-Section, I'll be much more comfortable with my doctor. So, I guess I'm hoping I make it to the 12th!!
Today is my due date. I'm glad I made it here. I planned this pregnancy (as well as you can plan it), and was really hoping for a July baby. I'm also glad this baby is cooking as long as he/she needs to. I always felt kinda' weird about scheduling the C-Section (even though it was only 2 days before my due date) early. Renee was 9 days overdue (due December 9th) when we did the NST and found out she was breech, which is probably why she was so late! We did the C-Section 2 days later (December 20th), so she was 11 days overdue!! I'm ok cooking babies for a little longer. ;-)
Anyway, I hope I can make it through the weekend. It's Tony's (my father-in-law) birthday on the 4th, Jaja (Tony's dad) is in town to meet this baby, and my parents are having family over for a BBQ. I'm excited for all the family time! I hope everyone has a great Independence Day!!

Another option
I forgot to mention something my doctor said at my appointment yesterday.
Basically, I can cancel the C-Section up until the very last minute. She had said when I come in, they'll get me all hooked up and ready to go....but, if I'm having contractions we can 'take it from there'. Meaning, maybe they can do what they had offered to do today....induce. It wouldn't be a 'normal' induction, they wouldn't turn up the pitocin throughout the day. They would just give me a light drip, and possibly break my water. So, that's still an option.
It makes me feel a little better about keeping the C-Section scheduled. I'll have my doctor there all day (and she knows how much I love her, so I'm sure she'd stay with me until the end), whether I try for the VBAC or just go for the C-Section.

Waiting it out
So, we've decided to wait.
I'm hoping my water breaks on it's own. I'm hoping for a VBAC. I'm really hoping my sciatic will ease up.
The C-Section is still scheduled for next week.
I'm hoping I'll have news before then!
Prayers are very welcome! ;-)

Still Pregnant.....but for how long?
I don't know how much longer I can do this. I had an appointment yesterday (Wednesday). It was my Pre-Op, and an OB check. We talked about the C-Section (scheduled for next week), and did a regular OB exam. I'm measuring 36 weeks (I'll be 39 on Friday), and the baby's heart beat sounded great. She 'checked me', I think she said I'm still about 2cm, but it was so painful I'm not quite sure what she said! Then she did some scraping. I had a few contractions last night, but nothing to call in about.
I'm still barely able to walk. I have a really hard time sleeping.....and I can only sleep on my right side. It kills me to sit down to pee. I'm absolutely miserable! I called and left a message for my doctor to talk about doing a C-Section today or tomorrow. Rae....you were on my mind while I was crying through that phone call! ;-) Well, I just hung up the phone. They cannot do a C-Section before next week. My doctor said if I'm having any contractions...which I am, but they are few and far between.....then I can come in and she can rupture my membranes (breaking my water).
Wait, what? Really? Now that she says it could happen, do I really want to do this? Eeek! I have to call Adam and make some decisions.
As far as I understand that's about all they can do (because of my previous C-Section). They can break my water, and do a light pitocin drip, but they cannot turn it up, my body has to do it on it's own. Maybe though, with a little help we can do this!! Yikes!!
My next post might be baby or just more waiting.........
...........to be continued...........

Ouch!!
I'm having the worst sciatic nerve pain. If you've experienced this you know how awful it is. If you've seen someone experience it, you know how awful it is. It's the nerve in the back of my left hip/lower back, running down my bum and the back of my leg into my foot. It's so bad my foot has been tingling for days and my leg almost feels numb. It's not numb in the sense that I can't feel it, it's like it's falling asleep.....with the sharp excruciating pain on top. My back is getting all knotted and sore from trying to find a comfortable position to sit/lay in. I've barely slept the last 2 nights, getting 1 or 2 hours of sleep only to wake for an hour trying to get back to sleep. I can only sleep on my right side, which gets really uncomfortable, but I can't lay on my left or on my back. At around 4am or 5am I just move to the recliner and sleep sitting up with the heating pad. Not that it's any more comfortable, I'm still in constant pain, but at least it's a different position. I can barely get from the couch to the bathroom without crying. It sucks.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with delivering this baby. I'm still hoping for a VBAC, but I have no idea how I am going to push a baby out with this pain. I SOOOO don't want to have surgery, but when I'm screaming and crying from this pain I just want it over with. I saw the doctor today, and have another appointment on Wednesday. We're going to see how things go between now and then. Not sure what might happen. My next post just might be about a new baby.
That's where I'm at. Prayers are welcome! Thank you. ;-)
