Wiggle out!

Babble

I'm not sure when I wrote these down, but I thought they were cute. I think it was about a month ago. I could hear Renee playing in the other room....and messing with Recon.

'Echo, Nay Nay's dog, my dog, Echo is beautiful!'

'Recon scratched me! I had a scratch.'

We're doing great with potty training. She's been dry since Monday (with only 1 accident on Tuesday). She's still not telling me when she needs to go, I just ask her/make her go every hour or so.....I don't really keep track of the time anymore. Yesterday though, she was sitting on my lap snuggling with me. She looked up with a very concentrated look on her face and said, 'Mommy, I want to go poop!' Which of course means 'pee pee', so I picked her up and ran her to the bathroom telling her to 'stop, no, squeeze!!!' She let a teeny tiny bit out, but she was able to stop it! Yay! What a big girl! So, that was the first time she actually knew it was coming and told me about it. We're making progress.

Potty training

We're doing ok.... she's had 2 accidents a day, and they're always within minutes of me getting ready to take her. She's doing pretty good though. We do pull-ups for nap time and going bye bye, diapers at night, and p's the rest of the day. So far so good today!

This is from yesterday....oh, that's our new camper IN our driveway!

2 for 2!

We're trying potty training again today. She took a bath, put big girl p's (don't want to spell it just in case google directs some creep to my blog) on, and have gone twice! I'm taking her every 30 minutes. So far so good.....we'll see what the rest of the day brings us. ;-)

Any tips?? Should I use pull-ups or diapers during nap time? Should I let her walk around in pull-ups (instead of big girl p's), but still take her every 30 minutes?

Wahooo!!!

We are now the proud new owners of this cute little guy. I stole the pics from the craigslist listing. I have pics too, but they're on the hard drive in the other room. I just got off the phone with Adam, who just got off the phone with the loan officer. We're approved! It's a small loan, I knew it would be no problem, but still, just wanted to make sure we were all good before posting.
So, Adam is going to meet with the current owner today, to get a copy of the title and give him a 'good faith' payment to hold it for us. We were thinking of giving him $1,000 to show him that we're serious, but Adam decided maybe we should only give them $100 just in case something went wrong......then there wouldn't be an argument about $1000! Well, he called the guy to tell him we got the loan and that they need to go in together (sometime this week) to sign all the papers and stuff, and the guy told him to just throw down $20! Wow! They are such nice people! They're giving us a pretty good deal too. We offered about $900 less than what they're asking and they accepted! Thank you so much Don and Murva!!! ;-D

It's a Cub Hybrid, 16 feet from nose to tail.
And with the tip-out beds it's about 21 feet! So perfect for us! It stores small, but opens up for plenty of room. Plus, it's fully contained so we can store stuff in it.....rather than in our garage, which is what we've been doing because we can't fit things in our little pop-up.
This if the view from the door, walking in and turning immediately right. To the left (of this pic) is the fridge/freezer (next to the dinette), then the FULL bathroom! Renee can take baths while we're camping! How cool is that??

Obviously, from the back side of the dinette. The door is on the left just before the bed. I love it!! Oh, and we're going to be able to store it at a great family friends' house.....for free! Wowza! We are so blessed! Thank you SOOO much Gonzalez family!!!

Sugar!!!! Woweee!

We made sugar cookies. She got her first taste of real sugar, at least I think it was (grandma Donna or grandma Luann has probably already spoiled her). I spilled some sugar on the counter so I told her to lick her finger, dip it, and lick it again. Boy was that a hit!! Unfortunately they have to chill and it was too close to nap time to wait. So we made the cookies, put them in the fridge, then made the frosting. There was a melt down.....because she wanted to dip her finga (finger) in the powdered sugar, NOT on the spoon (with powdered sugar on it) that I gave to her to dip her finga in! I told her she could have the spoon or nothing, she chose the spoon. Then there was another melt down when it was gone, I told her she could finish helping me, or take a nap. She chose a nap. ;-)

She's sleeping peacefully now. ;-)
See that sweet little hand holding her Dora? Cute!

Loobey Toobey

I'm on the computer and I can hear Renee watching Max & Ruby in the other room. I can here Ruby's Bunny Scout troop making cookies and they're talking about missing sprinkles, etc. After a few minutes Renee shouted, 'Mommy, I want cookies!' Silly girl.

Whenever Renee and I sing 'Max & Ruby, Ruby & Max...' (you mom's with cable have that stuck in your head now huh?). Adam always mixes it up and says 'Loobey Toobey!' To which Renee giggles and corrects him! ;-)
